Dr.
Edward Magaziner
EDUCATIONAL
BACKGROUND:
Dr. Magaziner is board certified
in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Pain Medicine,
Physical Therapy, and has received training in Medical
Acupuncture from UCLA. He began his career over 25
years ago as a licensed Physical Therapist with seven
years experience. He obtained a subspecialty in Orthopedic
Physical Therapy. He then went on to study medicine
and was a graduate of the Chicago Medical School in
1985. He did a year of general surgery at Sinai Hospital
of Baltimore, a Johns Hopkins affiliate. Subsequently,
he went on to complete his residency, three more years
in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at New York
Medical College, becoming a Chief Resident in his
last year.
PRACTICE EXPERIENCE:
Dr. Magaziner has been in
private practice since 1989 in the New Brunswick area.
He is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Robert Wood
Johnson University Medical School and an Assistant
Professor at New York Medical College. He is double
board-certified with the American Academy of Physical
Medicine and Rehabilitation and the American Academy
of Pain Management. He is also a Fellow in the Physiatric
Association of Sports, Spine and Occupational Rehabilitation.
He has a subspecialty pain management board status
recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties.
He served as the President of the New Jersey Society
of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Specialists
from 1996 through 1998, and he has served on numerous
Society and professional committees, both on a national
and state level.
COMMITMENT/DEDICATION:
Dr. Magaziner has dedicated
his professional career to the advancement of his
knowledge and skills to be used to help people with
impairment or disability from orthopedic, neurologic
or pain problems. His outcomes and successes are some
of the best in the country. Currently, Dr. Magaziner
is serving as Vice President of the New Jersey Pain
Society. Further, he is a State Delegate to the New
Jersey Medical Society and an Executive Committee
member of the New Jersey Specialty Society.
