Car accidents or chronic sprains to the neck can lead to prolonged muscle spasm and pain not relieved by medications, physical or chiropractic therapies. Often the cause is trigger points in the muscles or ligamentous damage to the joint stabilizing structures. We treat it with either laser therapy, trigger point injections and other myofascial techniques physical or chiropractic therapy.

When that fails regeneration injection therapy to repair the ligaments usually solves the problem. In some cases we need to do radiofrequency neurolysis to cauterize the small nerve going to the joint and do cortisone injections.

What is Whiplash?
